How to prevent decay
Preventing decay is only by maintenance of good oral hygiene. Maintenance includes proper brushing (twice a day) flossing, regularly rinsing your mouth after every meal using mouth wash. In children brushing has to be started once their first tooth erupts in the oral cavity. Until then wiping with sterile gauze piece will help. Parents should insist them to rinse their mouth immediately after eating chocolates and carbohydrates foods. This will avoid decay to greater extend. For bottle feeding babies withdraw the bottle immediately after feeding. Avoid using bottles frequently. It would be better to give water after feeding milk.
