Laser Dentistry
LASER - Light Amplification by stimulated emission of light.
It is an instrument which produces narrow intense beam of light energy. The light produced by the laser can remove or shape tissue. Laser have been used in dentistry since 1990. It can be used as a safe and effective treatment in various dental procedures and are often used in conjunction with other dental equipments.
Uses of LASER in Dentistry
- Reduce discomfort/pain in aphthous ulcers
- To expose partially erupted wisdom/impacted tooth
- Gum therapy
- Remove over grown tissues due to any medications
